Hot Papaya Coneflower - Echinacea 'Hot Papaya' PP21022
This double-flowering coneflower features drooping ray petals of spicy orange, surrounding a pompom centre of red-orange that develops papaya tones as the flowers age. Ideal for sunny borders and growing in mixed containers. Attractive to butterflies. Excellent for cutting. Echinacea starts blooming in midsummer and continue for months if faded flowers are regularly removed. Plant in moist well drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer prior to new growth. Cut back spent flowers to promote new blossoms. Divide in the spring every few years to maintain plant vigor.
