Prefers a moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil. Feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth begins. Little pruning is necessary, although pruning to ground level when old to rejuvenate fresh new growth is recommended. Prune to remove broken or damaged limbs.
