Hick's Yew - Taxus x media 'Hicksii'

A slow growing narrow upright evergreen with dark green needled foliage. Slightly broader at centre than at top or bottom. Excellent for columnar accents or as formal hedges and screens. Shear to keep full and more compact. All parts of this plants are toxic when ingested.

Prefers a moist well drained, slightly acidic soil. Tolerates dry, compacted soils when established. Fertilize in spring just before new growth begins. Little pruning is necessary but very tolerate of heavy pruning and shearing to give a formal appearance.
