Prefer moist well-drained, fertile soil. Feed in early spring with a high phosphorous fertilizer prior to new growth. Cut to ground in fall to encourage compact new growth in spring. Remove spent spikes after blooming to promote new growth. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
