Rescue Crabapple - Malus 'Rescue'
Small, dull red crabapple with yellow background. Sweet, firm yellowish white colored flesh. Excellent for fresh eating and canning. Ripens in early August. Extreme hardy plant. Does not store well. A 1936 introduction from the Experimental Farm in Scott, Saskatchewan.

Water regularly as needed. Feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer prior to new spring growth. When young, prune to create an open centred branching to allow for even light throught the tree. This allows even ripening of fruit. Prune broken or damaged limbs.
