Purple Monkshood - Aconitum henryi 'Spark's Variety'
Upright, well-branched perennial with deeply divided dark green foliage and showy spikes of deep violet flowers appear in mid summer. Spectacular addition to shady borders or woodland gardens. A good cut flower. May need staking. CAUTION: Toxic if eaten.
Plant in cool, moist soil. Feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth begins. Divide as needed in fall to maintain plant vigor.
