Polaris Blueberry - Vaccinium 'Polaris'

Medium-sized flavorful, very aromatic light blue fruit. Pollinate with another variety for increased production. Great for fresh use or in preserves. Stores well fresh. Attractive blue green foliage turns red in fall. Introduced by the University of Minnesota in 1996.

Prefers a moist, well drained, acidic soil for best results. Fertilize in spring just before new growth begins. Prune to remove broken or damaged limbs. Little pruning is necessary. The half-high blueberries are more compact and able to withstand the snow loads of colder climates.
