Jahn's Prairie Gooseberry - Ribes x 'Jahn's Prairie'

Jahn’s Prairie Gooseberry was selected from a native population in the Red Deer River valley of Alberta in July, 1984 by Dr. Otto Jahn. The high quality fruit has a dark red colour upon ripening and makes a great dessert fruit.

Jahn’s Prairie is disease resistant and prefers a sunny to partial shaded location with fertile, moist, but well draining soil. It grows up to 5’ tall and is hardy to zone 3.
