Black-Leaved Sea Thrift - Armeria maritima 'Vesuvius'
Native to seaside cliffs, this perennial forms a low tufted mound of smoky-purple leaves. Masses of deep pink ball-like flowers open in late spring. Good for rock gardens, edging or Container.
Plant in moist well drained soil. Fertilize in spring, prior to new growth. Cut back spent flowers to promote new blossoms. Cut back plants in fall.
