Askola Seaberry - Hippophae rhamnoides 'Askola'

Askola is a new female seaberry variety from Germany and was selected for its exceptionally high content of vitamin C and E, Askola fruit makes delicious and very nutritious juice. The abundant, deep orange berries ripen in late August. This is a vigorous and attractive shrub which can grow 10-12 ft. in height if not pruned. A male pollinator is required.

Adaptable to most soil conditions. Drought tolerant once established. Water regularly as needed. Feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer prior to new spring growth. Little pruning is necessary but can be trained as a small tree or large shrub. Prune broken or damaged limbs.
