Mount Royal Plum is a hardy fruit tree that has showy white flowers in the spring that are followed by blue fruits in late August. This variety is self pollinating, so does not require another plum to set fruit. The fruit is great for canning, jams, jellies or drying.

Water regularly as needed. Feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer prior to new spring growth. Prune when young to create an open branching structure that allows for even light distribution and more consistent ripening of fruit. Prune broken or damaged limbs.
